THE RINGS IT MAKES

One small thing dropped into a day, and the rings it makes.

I write from Blk 90 Zion Road about the things a day keeps in plain sight: condensation rings on formica, rain finding the same drain behind the block, the way sound widens when sirens move toward a point you are not at. Nothing polished. Just one person noting what drops into an ordinary afternoon and what spreads from it.

DailyRipple is not a news site or a brand. It is where I put the observations that would otherwise fade — barley drink cooling before I finish a table, a child pressing a lift button twice, rice rinsed in a steel bowl until the water runs clear. Six entries so far, including one main article I still do not fully understand. If you live near Kim Seng or Zion Road, you may recognise the streets. If you do not, I hope the small rings translate anyway.

The name is not a metaphor for business or momentum. It is the cup ring, the rain ring in the grate, the second press of a button sending a wider signal than the first. I notice those. I write them down before the day moves on and the rings dry up or get washed away.

About Joelle

I notice the rings — in a cup, in a drain after rain, in the way a sound reaches you before you know what made it. I write it down before the day moves on.
